The world’s largest Travel magazine Travel+Leisure made the top 15 best cities in the world. The rating is published on the newspaper’s website.
First place was taken by the American Charleston (South Carolina, USA). In the city tourists are advised to see the Fort where the Civil war began (war of the North and South), and you can stay in The Spectator included in the three best hotels in the world by Travel+Leisure.
The second line of the rating took in Chiang Mai, the largest city of Northern Thailand — located in Mexico’s San Miguel de Allende, whose historical center is a UNESCO world heritage site.
Also in the top 15 were Florence (Italy), Luang Prabang (Laos), Kyoto (Japan), New Orleans (USA), Barcelona (Spain), Savannah (USA), Cape town (South Africa), Rome (Italy), Beirut (Lebanon), Siem reap (Cambodia), Bangkok (Thailand) and Cuzco (Peru).
It is noted that the rating was compiled on the basis of a survey of readers of the journal.
Travel+Leisure is the largest magazine for travelers in the world. Circulation of all its regional versions is five million copies. From 2003 to 2007, the journal was published in Russia.
