Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov clarified the circumstances relating to the cancellation of Putin’s visit to Paris.
According to him, Putin in advance received an invitation from the French leader, after which the third party learned that Francois Hollande questioned the need for the meeting.
“You prepare for this meeting, this lunch, to arrival at apartment to owner. And then the owner suddenly publicly, in the circle of friends starts to discuss and maybe I need not to invite him. And you know it through friends,” he described the situation Ushakov.
He added that later, the Russian President called the spokesman, and Hollande announced that the French leader will probably not be able to attend a scheduled event.
“Then you call the Secretary of the host: you know, you come, the apartment is yours. Maybe the owner will not, but you see how it works, and it may be, come in for tea.
