The drone was involved in an accident
Modified Lexus with the autopilot collided with a truck, whose driver decided to slip on red light.
Self-driving cars usually follow the rules of the road, but still get into accidents because of drivers.
On September 23 at the mountain view Google drone was driving Perekrestok on the green, when his side crashed into a commercial van. Modified Lexus RX450h has received serious damages, but people in the accident was seriously injured.
“Thousands of accidents happen every day on U.S. roads, and the red light is the leading cause of most accidents in cities. While human error is found in 94% of these accidents,” said Google engineers.
