The European Central Bank (ECB) introduced an updated bill with a face value of 50 euros, which will be introduced into circulation on 4 April 2017. On Tuesday, July 5, according to the website of the regulator.
First and foremost, the new bill strengthened elements of protection, since the Bank notes of 50 and 20 euros are counterfeited most frequently. Less often made copies of five 500 Euro 1.1 and 1.3 percent, respectively.
Updated to € 50 will appear a portrait of the heroine of Greek mythology — Europe. Her image is placed in the form of a watermark, and a holographic vertical strip. Another distinctive sign is the figure 50 in the lower left corner, which will change its color from blue to dark green depending on the angle.
The inscription “Euro” made not only Latin and Greek font, but the Cyrillic. The use of the Cyrillic alphabet due to the EU accession of Bulgaria (the country is not yet part of the Eurozone). In addition, the acronym ECB is not depicted in five languages, as before, and ten.
According to the ECB, for every 10 thousand residents of the Euro area accounts for 27 fakes.
