European observers said about the violations during the elections to the state Duma.
European Union does not recognize elections in the state Duma of Russia in the Crimea. This is stated in the statement of the representative of the External diplomatic service of the EU.
This decision related to non-recognition by the European States of Russia’s annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol.
Also in the OSCE/ODIHR (Office for democratic institutions and human rights) said that the election results were affected by the restrictions on fundamental freedoms and political rights, rigidly controlled the media and putting pressure on civil society, as well as the disadvantages associated with the registration of candidates and the regulatory framework.
The EU noted that the observation mission for the elections, the OSCE/ODIHR has not carried out any activities in the Crimea.
