On Tuesday in Brussels at a high level were on the trade and economic dialogue between China and the EU, which the parties agreed on the need to strengthen trade and economic relations. As a representative of the Union was made by the Chairman of the European Commission Jyrki Katainen, China was represented by Vice-Premier of China MA Kai, according to Chinese media.
According to MA Kai, a meeting with a senior representative of the European Union has contributed to more compromises in the creation of platforms for economic cooperation and identified new vectors of development.
In particular, the sides discussed joint investment projects among which the “Juncker plan”, the agreement between the EU and China on geographical indications of origin of goods sold, as well as the pair initiative “Belt and Road”.
In addition, representatives of the EU and China came to a very important for both sides to consensus on the implementation of the Protocol on the accession of China to the WTO. Also, the dialogue discussed issues relating to the development of recycling economy, the digital economy and financial control. The topics submitted for discussion during the summit “G20” in Hangzhou.
