The destruction of products that need poor Russians — medieval barbarism

Уничтожение продуктов, которые нужны бедным россиянам — средневековое варварство

Russian anti-sanctions negatively impacted the business climate in the country and on the economy as a whole. Such opinion in conversation with the correspondent “of Rosbalt” was expressed by the expert of the National anti-corruption Committee, Chairman of the all-Russian movement “For fair market” Ilya handrikov.

“I believe that the destruction of food — it’s just medieval barbarism. In our country a huge number of not just poor, but poor people. Normal products seized from violators of the “anti-sanctions”, it would be possible to give it to them. They say that this process is difficult to organize. But in our country all that difficult to arrange, is not interesting for the officials. That’s pumping oil and gas to sell raw materials — this we know. With this you can really get the real deal. When you push products, which need poor Russians — it’s just awful. We have this power. In the first place needs to be people, and not political ambitions,” said handrikov.

May 27, Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev instructed to prepare proposals for the renewal of the food embargo until the end of 2017.

While earlier, the G7 leaders expressed support for the retention of sanctions against the Russian Federation, adopted after the annexation of Crimea. According to them, sanctions could be lifted when the Kremlin will fulfill obligations under the Minsk agreements.

Recall that in response to EU sanctions, United States and accessions countries Russia imposed in August 2014 the food embargo. Russian President Vladimir Putin on 6 August 2014 signed a decree on the application of certain special economic measures to ensure security. Import of certain goods from countries that have imposed sanctions against Russian companies, officials and businessmen, restricted for a year. Subsequently, Putin extended the embargo for another year. Then on August 6, 2015 the President also signed a decree on the destruction of prohibited to import into Russia of agricultural products.
