The Creator of R2-D2 from “Star wars” was found dead

Master special effects for film and Creator of the robot R2-D2 from the franchise “Star wars” Tony Dyson was found dead in his home on the Maltese island of Gozo. About it today, 4 March, reports Reuters.

The body of 68-year-old Briton was found by police after his friends complained to the authorities that he several days didn’t contact. Police did not find traces of violence and suggests that the death was of natural causes.

A specialist in visual effects told, that up to George Lucas eight different versions of the iconic character R2-D2, and was also called the franchise one of the most interesting periods in my life.

Dyson also worked on the design of robotics for companies such as Sony, Philips and Toshiba. He worked on special effects for the movie “Superman 2”, “Lunar racer” and “Conqueror of the dragon.”
