“Turkish stream” will be built in 2018
The signing of the intergovernmental agreement on the “Turkish stream” has launched the implementation of the project, the construction of the pipeline will begin in 2018. This was stated by the head of “Gazprom” Alexey Miller.
“The agreement on the beginning of the project, is the article that tells about the beginning of implementation and construction of the project, shall enter into force upon its signing… Given the start of the project. According to our plan, the construction will start in 2018,” said Miller.
According to him, the marine section of the pipeline will be 100% owned by “Gazprom”, the company also undertake the financing of the construction of the two branches.
As noted, the gas transport infrastructure on the territory of Turkey from the receiving terminal will build Turkey’s Botas.
To create in Turkey a transit infrastructure for gas deliveries to European consumers will create a joint venture, said Miller.
We will remind, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin is visiting Turkey for talks with Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a relatively large joint energy projects.
Earlier it was reported that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is confident in the successful implementation of the project “Turkish stream”, which will provide deliveries of Russian gas to the Turkish market and Europe.
