The American army in the vast South China sea is not just an eyesore to the Chinese, but may become a party to a big confrontation, because of their own provocations.
The situation in the South China sea continues to heat up. Chinese authorities refused to participate in the proceedings with regards to the disputed area of the Spratly archipelago and consider them sovereign territory of the PRC. Wood in the fire planted the United States, have deployed two groups of aircraft carriers off the South China sea, hoping thus to cool the ardor of the Chinese authorities.
“The United States is constantly sent to the South China sea planes naval aviation, demonstrating power and creating a tense stop,” – warned the Ministry of defence of China at the end of last year, but the situation only worsened when the United States began deliberately to show the muscles. One aircraft carrier, two cruisers, two destroyers and a command ship “blue ridge” was only one strike team sent by the Pentagon to the disputed territories, and later there appeared reinforcements.
Why are Americans so adamant? 5.4 billion barrels of oil and 55.1 trillion cubic meters of gas and many other goods are concentrated in the disputed territories and China is willing to consider the possibility to use this resource. Also, like Vietnam, Brunei, Malaysia, Taiwan and the Philippines, but not the US, the Navy which for some reason are deployed so close.
To dialogue and compromise was called for, and in Beijing and in the States (!) and even the UN Secretary General excited tried to reconcile all parties, but without coming to a common denominator, the PRC authorities decided to change the rhetoric. The Defense Minister of China said that the army, the police and the people “should be prepared to mobilize in defense of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country”, and soon the masses will be introduced to lessons on civil defense.
Experts find the situation dangerous, and the farther you play, the more disappointing forecasts can be predicted. The question, of course, remains open, but it is obvious that if American military forces there would be hung in the South sea of Korea with acts of intimidation, in China possible and would not take the measures that were presented today.
