On 13 September it became known that the CBR revoked the license of Rosprombank. The main reason for this was willful failure to comply with Federal laws and regulations. Moreover, Rosprombank was seen in repeated violation of the law on combating money laundering and financing of terrorism. Also, the rules and requirements of internal control of the banking institution did not meet the standards established by the CBR.
The Bank systematically carried out a risky credit policy, which is directly connected with investing funds in illiquid assets. Accordingly, Rosprombank was under the threat of bankruptcy. The chairmen and owners of the credit institution did not take any action to stabilize the Bank’s activities.
In accordance with the reporting data on 01.09.2016 Rosprombank was located on 323 place in the banking sector at the value of their assets. The information was published on the official website of the regulator.
