The Minister of foreign Affairs of great Britain, Boris Johnson said in an interview with The Sun that if Russia continues its current policies in the Syrian conflict, it could turn into a pariah state.

“The world’s attitude to Russia has deteriorated, and I think people now assume that Russia can become a pariah. If they [the Russians] will continue to act the same, they will lose any sympathy and admiration in the world,” said Johnson.

He noted that London is studying several options of exerting pressure on Moscow to change its position on the Syrian conflict. It adds The Sun, among these variants could be a boycott of the officers of the British world Cup 2018 held in Russia.

Johnson has accused Russia of bombing the Syrian territories, in which, according to him, civilians were killed. Raepress Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov denied the accusations.

On September 25 we held an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council on the situation in Aleppo, where he resumed active hostilities. At the meeting, the U.S. permanent representative to the UN Samantha Power said that for several days, Russian and Syrian military launched several attacks, which killed more than 130 people, and called Russia’s actions “barbaric”.

The Kremlin has called the rhetoric of the United States against Russia is unacceptable and reminded that such statements could harm bilateral relations between Moscow and Washington and do not contribute to the settlement of the situation in Syria.
However, on 29 Sep Power again criticized the actions of the Russian authorities and the Syrian army in Aleppo, calling them a gift to terrorists.

The Russian foreign Ministry takes the position that the situation in Aleppo blame the militants that block the exit of the civilian population from the Eastern districts of the city. On the eve of 30 September, the Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in a telephone conversation with U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry expressed willingness to consider cooperation with the US normalization of the situation in Aleppo.

Lavrov also drew Kerry’s attention to the fact that numerous “periods of silence”, declared in Syria, was used by militants of the banned in Russia grouping “Dzhabhat EN Nusra” to regroup their forces, and reminded of the promises of Washington to delimit the moderate opposition and terrorists.

Later, U.S. state Department spokesman mark Toner said that Washington leaves the door open for further contacts with Russia on Syria, but noted that the United States is still “on the verge” of suspending bilateral contacts with Russia on Syria.
