American singer Dienel Casey (Casey Dienel) has filed a lawsuit against the canadian singer Justin Bieber, accusing him of plagiarism, reports Entertainment Weekly. The lawsuit concerns the songs of Bieber, Sorry, which, according to the plaintiff, contains deliberately stolen the elements of the composition Dienel Ring The Bell.
“The striking similarity of the songs are beyond coincidence and independent creation,” — said in a lawsuit.
The defendants are also the co-producer of the track Sorry DJ Skrillex (Sonny Moore), producing recordings of Bieber Universal Music and its publishinga Warner-Tamerlane Publishing Corp. Side Dienel requires to recognize copyright infringement in a judicial proceeding to prohibit further use of elements, Ring The Bell and to compensate for moral damages. The claim amount is not specified.
Representatives of the actress say that before applying to the court has been informed by the side of Bieber on their claims, but received no response.
The song Ring The Bell was released in 2014 on the album Baby project White Hinterland, who heads Dienel. She is also the author of the song. The song Sorry was released in the fall of 2015 and included in the album of Bieber Purpose.
