The accident rate in the Russian civil aviation increased to a maximum of five years

In Russian civil aviation, the accident rate increased, it reached a maximum for five years. It is reported portal Ato.ru Tuesday, March 15, with reference to the report of Interstate aviation Committee (IAC).

It is noted that for the year 2015 was recorded 41 aircraft accident. For comparison, in 2014 in Russia there was a 38 incidents. The least PE (29 cases) in the last five years was recorded in 2013.

Responsible for approximately 70 percent of incidents in 2015 was the human factor. 24% of cases occurred due to the failure or malfunction of the equipment, and another 6 percent because of adverse external influences.

One of the most popular air crashes with participation of Russians took place on 31 October 2015 over the Sinai Peninsula. Then crashed Airbus A321 companies “Kogalymavia” (Metrojet), flying from Sharm El Sheikh to St. Petersburg. All 224 people (mostly Russians) who were onboard, were lost. The responsibility for the catastrophe took on the militant group “wilayat Sinai” sworn allegiance banned in Russia the terrorist organization “Islamic state”. At a meeting in the Kremlin on 16 November, the head of the FSB Alexander Bortnikov said that the cause of the accident was a terrorist attack.
