Former Director of the Moscow anti-doping laboratory, Grigory Rodchenkov organized the delivery of prohibited substances to athletes, promising to help hide the results of doping tests, according to the Investigative Committee of Russia.

“The investigation believes that he destroyed the samples to hide the implementation of prohibited means to escape from criminal liability, providing for a much stricter punishment than violation of the standards of WADA”, said the representative of Department Vladimir Markin.

Rodchenkov resigned as head of the Moscow anti-doping laboratory and left for the USA shortly after the publication of the report of WADA in November 2015, where it was alleged that he personally ordered the destruction of the doping tests before checking in December 2014.
In mid-may Rodchenkov said in an interview that during the Olympics in Sochi, dozens of Russian athletes, including gold medalists, was dope.
