Ukrainian tennis player Lyudmila Kichenok are unable to reach the semi-finals of the tournament in Florianopolis.
The first career semi-final of tournament of series WTA Kichenok competed with the 127 – th racket of the world Ana Bogdan, who in the 1/4 finals sensationally dealt with the eminent Serbian Jelena Jankovic.
At the start of the match, the players exchanged breaks. Later Kichenok could lead 3:1 but missed a break-point. With the score 3:3 Ukrainian made some mistakes and lost his serve. Bogdan immediately followed up his advantage, winning the next two games.
The outcome of the second set and the match in General, decided to break from Bogdan in the fourth game. Kichenok with the score 2:4 could resume the affair, but the opponent calmly played a double break-point.
For an exit in the quarterfinals of the tournament in Florianopolis Lyudmila Kichenok has earned over six thousand dollars in prize money and 60 ranking points. Today, together with her sister Hope Ludmila will play in the semifinals of the doubles tournament, and after the Florianopolis girls will head to Rio de Janeiro.
