This year, the international charitable film festival “Radiant angel” was held under the auspices of the year of Russian cinema, cross-years cultures of Russia and Greece, the 1000th anniversary of the Russian presence on mount Athos, and of the 75th anniversary of the great Patriotic war. Grand Prix review this time got domestic the film “teacher” directed by Sergei cavalry mokritskiy.

The plot of “I – teacher” tells about the life of a simple rural teacher Pavel Zubov, who is trying not to lose faith during the great Patriotic war. The story takes place in Soviet territory occupied by Nazi troops. A series of events changes his life, returning to the real world, where there is a bloody war. The main roles in the film played by Yulia Peresild, and Boris Kamorzin.

The Minister of culture Vladimir Medinsky stressed the importance of the forum:as much As we tried to instill a love of the primitive, base films, the viewer wants to watch “good” movies that tell us about the best human qualities. The festival proves it. Unfortunately, at the end of the last century the state system of film distribution was virtually destroyed, and now, in the Year of Russian cinema, the culture Ministry and the cinema Fund is actively engaged in its revival by funding the construction and renovation of cinemas in small towns”.
This year the selection Committee of the festival “Radiant angel” was received 321 application, among whom were full-length, short, documentary and animated films. In the end, the Committee selected 64 paintings from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Armenia, Malaysia, Spain, Belgium, France, Iran, UAE and Poland.
