Director Nikolai Khomeriki has started shooting of his new work: the film “Selfie”, which is based on the popular novel by Russian writer Sergei Minaev “duhless twenty-first century. Selfie”. In the story, the writer and TV presenter Vladimir Bogdanov one day realizes that his place was taken by a double who is now reaping the fruits of his fame, drinks with his friends and sleeping with his women. And only daughter Bogdanov understands how important it is to bring him back to the present.

Writer Sergei Minaev himself wrote the screenplay for a future film adaptation. He confessed to his Instagram that the film crew seems to him a real dream team: the major roles are played by Konstantin Khabensky and Fedor Bondarchuk, film Director Nikolay Khomeriki the winner of the prize of the Cannes film festival for best student film, and the operator – Vladislav opelyants, who previously worked on such projects as “the State Counsellor”, “Burnt by the sun 2” and “the Apprentice.” Bondarchuk will also act as one of the producers of the film. Also the film will be Anna Mikhalkov, Julia Hlynina and severe anusauskaite.

Sergey Minaev says:”Selfie” is a very personal story. “Duhless” was also a story about me and the “Selfie” – no, not a hero “Duhless” ten years later. It’s the same me, but much changed. Shooting a “Selfie” is scheduled for completion in December of this year.
