A new generation of car will be redesigned from scratch and is slightly increased in size. The pictures shown are almost fully developed production version of the model.
The basis of the new Nissan Micra is based on the concept called the Sway. Looking at the spy images of the car there is reason to believe that the next generation will go in a completely different segment. However, if this does not happen, the Micra will certainly be able to compete for the championship in sales from the popular Ford Fiesta.
The Assembly of the car will be manufactured at the Renault plant near Paris. The fifth generation Micra will get platform CMF of a class “B” developed by the Renault-Nissan Alliance. Some engines will probably be borrowed from the latest version of the Renault Clio and will be paired with a five – or six-speed manual transmission or a CVT.
As for the interior, it is only known that its quality will be significantly improved, and the distance between the front and rear seats will increase due to an extended wheelbase.
The public debut of the new hatchback Nissan Micra will take place at the Paris motor show in early October, and the official photos should be available in September of this year.
