The architects showed school of the future.
Architects Christou Design Group presented the project of the new preparatory school in Perth, Australia. A new school formed by a series of separate structures, connected by a series of internal courtyards and play areas. A plot of land on a river in a picturesque valley required good integration of architecture into the natural environment.
All buildings are designed to maximise the views and link the internal space with external. The decoration is dominated by the brick, Sandstone and galvanized surfaces. These traditional materials are diluted with plywood, various soft and slippery surfaces, as well as bright colors. The architects placed emphasis on interactive learning format, by creating a large number of game zones.
For children there are not just vacation spots, but areas for physical activity, including slides, tunnels, vertical surfaces and water elements. Particular attention was paid to sustainable planning, providing natural lighting and ventilation, organize the collection of rainwater and its subsequent processing, and the use of solar energy.
