What else can you add about the gear? Perhaps only the fact that the sea loves generous, so anyone who plans to experience happiness in the depths of the sea, I recommend good to stock up and bait, and a network… of Hooks and breaks a lot, especially the lure or sinker “like” the cracks between the stones, where they pull out is almost impossible, unless you dive. Sometimes, by the way, had to do a similar dive. Why not do it for the sake of favourite Hobbies and in order to save the valuable fishing junk.
And finally, about the fishing.

Speaking of silicone baits… I don’t agree with the opinion that in the sea do not work those colors that in freshwater. I would even say that in the sea, and the river is wonderful work out the same color: “engine oil”, non-acidic green, pale brown sequins. Bright “kislotnik” – yellow and pink – and- demand among local water Kingdom not used. But the green kislotnik bite was, including the last day on him, caught the long-awaited fish, but more on that below.

In the following days on the hook began to catch fish, alas, unknown (I did not expect such meetings in advance and are not prepared, I confess), but quite beautiful – bright colored. The first parallel horizontal reddish brown stripes along the body (in places like red dots and blue edges of the fins, and the second colors do not understand: bluish underparts of the abdomen and wide vertical stripes, reminiscent of a strip of river perch. Came across these beauties or handsome in the next few days while we lived on the shore. All attempts to find out what miracle I the village on the hook, without success. This is perhaps the most amazing thing! Neither the employees of the local cafes or the staff campsite, which is where we stayed, no vacationers could not call caught me fish, and especially to explain whether it can be eaten. But all were interested in what and where caught, what color lure, etc…
Most fishermen (and among the guests was fishing a) on the hooks were often scorpionfish, which I somehow did not complain, or bulls, also stubbornly did not want to try my siliconia. But regular smoked sausage bull once grabbed unexpectedly. Here’s how it happened…
My daughter and I went to catch crabs. Innocent fun for a little girl and her dad. Tackle for fishing of this shellfish – couldn’t be easier. On a stick-a twig with a string meter in length, to which is attached a remnant of meat food (and the worm will fit, and sausage). Omit “juicy” piece under a rock to watch: crab claw grabs the booty and runs away. Here you need to quickly pull the thread to pull it together with crab and dipped in the prepared capacity (five-liter plastic bottle with cut throat). The wider the neck, the easier to throw it in the crab. To get you need quickly, otherwise the crab will break (in most cases are). So, we caught crabs, however, instead of using twigs for winter spinning spoon bait, and instead of strings – braided cord with large inertia reel (these supplies were at hand), and the sausage is not tied, and stuck it on a hook.
I lowered the “crab food” into the water between the rocks, and my daughter watched as her crab claw hook. You pulled 3-4 small “shell”. A daughter from such a “fishing” squealed with joy! Suddenly, before we really lower our sausage, as I can feel the impact like when you bite… Weird, I guess. But the reflex worked, I’m hooked. Nothing. That is, intact hook. Thought I guess. Again lowered, another blow, cutting. On the hook little bull. That is the number of crab caught, and caught the bull!
After completing the hunt for crabs, whole catch, of course, released back: crabs ran sideways on the stone to the water and then picked up by the water, hidden from our eyes.
I must say that sea fish coming to the shore mostly at dawn and at sunset. Maybe it’s the property of those places where people have a rest. That is due to noise in the coastal zone… don’t know. But I was able to catch the interesting Rabeh primarily in the sunset hour. The hour because it gets dark quickly, and when quite dark, catch uncomfortable. Can’t see anything. Headlamp and flashlight I stocked up. Per hour, of course, many did not catch. Especially due to snags and breaks, the fishing is further reduced. But 2-3 fish to get real. If known, it is possible to roast, and if you do not understand, somehow unclear, they fit in the food or not. So basically the fish I released.
Man, too, from tourists, once said, looking at me got a couple of fish that it “zelenochi” or “greenfinches” (popular name), and they are kind of like not eating… Later I’m looking at the image of the inhabitants of the Black sea, was never able to feel 100% certainty that it is a “zelenochi”. “Hollywood” was the one that had red stripes and blue fins… I later ascertained. And those others don’t know. Maybe the first were males and second females, and maybe this is another kind of “Hollywood”. In General, while the mystery is preserved, and I’m still trying to unravel it. By the way, as far as I know, “Hollywood” can be eaten, but their flesh is not very tasty, having a sweet taste, especially during the spawning season. But again not sure. By the way, these same zelenochi belong to the order rubanovich and officially called rulename. These fish are very bright and mainly feed on crustaceans hiding in the crevices of the stones.
It’s a shame that the information about our black sea fishes (and especially how it catches very little. Meanwhile, such information is very popular, because fish of the sea many people, and possess the necessary knowledge, as it turned out… well, in fact nobody had, because that’s what it is.
By the way, the day before departure I finally caught their long-awaited scorpene. She caught me at dawn, powerfully sitting on the hook of his huge mouth. Beautiful still, even though the fish and prickly. If you’re lucky, will hunt the same next year.
