Scientists have identified who are most at risk of obesity

Ученые определили, кто больше всех подвержен риску ожиренияAs a result of global study, the researchers came to the conclusion that obese more often affects girls-the firstborn.

Swedish researchers urge medical professionals to think about the global problem of rising body mass index (BMI), which is celebrated all over the world, writes the Chronicle.Info with reference to Zdravoe.

Their new study confirms the results of other large-scale tests: the first-born female who are born to women with high BMI are likely in adulthood face the problem of overweight or even obesity.

The authors of the new work analyzed data from a Swedish registry that contains information about virtually all (99%) births in Sweden. They focused on medical data of children born in the period 1991-2009 women, which at the time of their first pregnancy were at least 18 years of age. Statistics only take into account information on 406 13 pairs, the twins were excluded from the study.

After analyzing the physical characteristics of expectant mothers and their children (in infancy and in older age), the scientists came to the conclusion that the girl firstborn are more likely to be overweight and obese than their younger brothers and sisters. Especially often faced with this problem the children whose mothers also suffered from fullness. Scientists have also determined that both boys and girls-the firstborn can also be more predisposed to such health problems as diabetes and high blood pressure.
