The most luxurious prison in the world
Reading the phrase “the most beautiful and luxurious prison”, you most likely think it’s a joke. But you will be surprised to know that in the world there are prisons, which could in some sense be considered a work of art. But not only prisons, but also psychiatric hospitals (which, in its kind also are the prisons) have stunning features that escape our attention at a cursory glance.
This post may be a little intimidating, given the characteristic features of such places and especially considering the fact that in the mental hospital, as we know, was infested with ghosts or about them go horrible stories of the past while they were in force and years later. Built in 1958, the prison was originally designed for the detention of war criminals. Here now are serving the sentences of those who committed a state crime.
7. Camp Federal prison Yankton (Yankton Federal Prison Camp), South Dakota, USA
The prison camp was opened here in 1988, and once this building served as the campus of a local College. Over time, it was altered in the Federal prison camp lax regime for male prisoners.
6. Federal correctional institution Sandston (Sandstone Federal Correctional Institute), Minnesota, USA

If you go through the site, you can see a neat lawn, beautiful statues, and the prison itself is in excellent condition. It may not be the most attractive prison terms of colors, but it looks very clean and tidy.
Little known fact: actor Tim Allen (Tim Allen) has been here for 28 months, since 1979, serving a sentence for cocaine possession.
5. The justice center Leoben (Justice Center Leoben, Austria
This building is so beautiful that it’s hard to believe it’s actually a prison. In addition, there are still valid and the court.
This Austrian prison known as the most comfortable in the world. It is also supported by the belief that all prisoners should be respected.

State hospital Danvers was built in 1870-ies. Today this place is a residential complex, but they say there still is haunted.
2. Federal place is a prison camp Montgomery Federal Prison Camp), Alabama, USA
The camp with the prison regime is in Montgomery, on-site Maxwell air force base (Maxwell Air Force Base) and is a place of detention for nearly 900 prisoners.
Judging from the appearance of the finish, this prison may have been the best of times, but, nevertheless, it still rightfully deserves its place in the list of the most beautiful in the world.
On site you can see manicured lawns, flower beds, small trees and shrubs, which give the General appearance even more beauty.
1. Castle Shiyon (Chillon Castle), Switzerland
Castle Shion, also known as Chillon castle, now no longer operates as a prison, but was such in the XVI century during the religious wars.
Currently this place is a tourist attraction, representing the combination of many architectural styles, among which the medieval frescoes of the XIV century.
Sitting on a plot of land surrounded by water and mountains in the background, this prison, of course, is one of the most beautiful ever built. It is located on the shores of lake Geneva and is a famous historical monument in Switzerland.
