Scare Stockholm “Russian submarine” was a Swedish ship

Напугавшая Стокгольм "русская подлодка" оказалась шведским судном

Hunting Swedish media on the “Russian submarine”, which in 2014 was allegedly spotted in the waters of the Stockholm archipelago, finally brought results. However, not the ones expected by the Swedes. As reported on Sunday by the Swedish radio “Sveriges Radio”, it was found that the beeping sound that indicated the presence of a foreign submarine, was published as a Swedish ship.

“The source of the sound originally presented as evidence of a foreign submarine borders of Sweden, actually was a Swedish object and not a foreign submarine,” – said the Swedish radio, citing an anonymous source. To such conclusion experts have come, having a more deep analysis of data about an object in the waters of the Stockholm archipelago. At the same time, the Swedish journalists say that the Ministry of defence of the Kingdom yet do not exclude the version about the presence of foreign submarines, as evidenced by observation of two civilians and the seabed.

Recall that in October 2014 in the waters of the Stockholm archipelago lasted a week special operation to search for “foreign presence.” In search involved more than 200 military and the latest technology in service with the Swedish army. As reported by the then Swedish media, the reason for this operation was allegedly intercepted a signal on the Russian language on the distressed submarine. In addition, journalists found pictures of the two civilians, which allegedly was a picture floated to the surface the submarine.

After a long search, which cost the Swedish army a 20 million kroons (2.2 million euros), no evidence of foreign presence in Swedish waters was not detected. A year ago, the Ministry of defence of the Kingdom reported that the main evidence in the case about the search for the submarines as such is no longer. However, no details about what became the basis for this decision, the Ministry said.
