Convicted in Russia for the murder of journalists VGTRK Ukrainian servicewoman Nadezhda Savchenko filled out the documents necessary for its extradition to his homeland. About this on his page in Facebook said one of her lawyers, Nikolay Polozov.
“Met with Nadezhda Savchenko in jail (…). Filled with her statements needed to transfer her to Ukraine under the Convention. Carefully chose the wording. From the number proposed in the sample applications language Hope is abandoned, replaced by their”, — the lawyer told.
According to him, Savchenko has fulfilled all the necessary extradition, “now the terms of her release depends entirely from the quickness of the actions of the authorities”.
About the beginning of procedure of extradition of Savchenko to Ukraine announced by her family on April 27. This was confirmed by her lawyer mark Feigin, saying that the procedure is not quick and can take anywhere from a month to two”.
On 22 March the court of Donetsk in the Rostov region of Russia was sentenced to 22 years in prison. She was found guilty of the murder of Russian journalists Igor Kornelyuk and Anton Voloshin, and the attempted murder of their colleagues. In addition, the court imposed a fine of 30 thousand rubles for illegal crossing of the Russian border.
