All employees of the General Inspectorate, which was established in may 2015, as part of the GPU, for the second week are outside of the state. This was stated by Deputy Prosecutor General – the Prosecutor of Odessa region David Sakvarelidze.
According to him, employees of the General Inspectorate involved in high profile cases to apprehend corrupt prosecutors, is the enormous pressure.
“Instead of the active work aimed at cleansing the system of prosecution bodies, the constant pressure on all of our employees who participated in more or less high profile cases to apprehend corrupt prosecutors,” wrote Sakvarelidze on his page in Facebook.
The Deputy Prosecutor General expressed hope that “the leadership of the GPU will be enough common sense and soon all the employees of Geninspection will be reassigned to their posts, as had been agreed previously.” He noted the need to transfer to Geninspection division, which deals with internal security matters.
Earlier it was reported that the Deputy Prosecutor General Vitaliy KASKO, submitting his resignation, has been more honest than many of the staff of the Prosecutor’s Corporation, which went quietly to return. As reported by some sources in the GPU,prosecutors investigating the case “diamond” prosecutors removed from the staff and will soon be fired.
