In Russia, a growing number of cases of eating dog meat and infected with trichinosis. This is stated in a statement on Tuesday, June 28, the CPS.
According to the Agency, in 2013-2015 in the country revealed more than 100 cases of Contracting trichinosis from eating of dog meat.
Every year in Russia is fixed from 30 to 200 cases, mostly in the Siberian and far Eastern Federal districts. According to the statistics, 43% of infections occur in meat-eating Pets, 30 percent of wild animals, 27% of stray dogs. Thus, in 47 percent of cases patients had used pork and only a 25 — dog meat.
On June 28 the administration of Rospotrebnadzor in the Irkutsk region reported that in the city of Usol’e-Sibirskoe after eating bear meat poisoned 18 people.
Trichinosis is a dangerous parasitic disease. Accompanied by fever, muscle pain, swelling of the face, skin rashes, and in severe and intestinal disorders, frequent complications.
