As noted by military expert Oleg Teltonika, at the time the buggy has emerged as a machine for racing in rough terrain.

— For simplifying the design and the actual failure from the body in favor of the external tubular frame and chassis design buggy have a minimum weight and dimensional characteristics, says Teltonika. — It allows you to achieve maximum weight returns, because there is no parasitic load from the car body, doors and other design elements. At the same time, very low ground pressure gives the benefit in overcoming obstacles when driving on rough terrain, such as desert, forest and swamp.
