Domestic experts of the company “Technomage” developed, according to them, a fundamentally new method of geolocation, which will allow maximum accuracy to determine the location of any object anywhere in the world. Assistance was provided by staff of the international laboratory for technical vision of the faculty of innovative technologies, Tomsk state University (TSU fit).
New creation of Russian scientists made in the form of small beacons, which, interestingly, are working without reference to the GPS satellites or GLONASS. It would seem like that’s possible, but, in fact, the answer is simple: beacons are included in a pre-programmed time and keep track of the closest points Wi-Fi, saving data about the three most powerful of them. If among them there is an open point, then all the accumulated coordinates are transmitted to a special server, which in turn establishes the location of the beacon using triangulation method. The project database already has data on 30 million Wi-Fi hotspots around the world.
A fundamental feature of the technology, called “Contour security”, enables the tracking devices to operate without recharging for several months, and their cost in this case will be minimal (and dimensions) in comparison with standard and GPS trackers. If access points are not near, or if the battery charge tends to zero, then turn on the Bluetooth module, and all the data beacon can throw on any smartphone or tablet. Initially, “Circuit security” was developed to track children that perfectly clear in the photo, but it can be used in any fields, including automotive.
