Russia for seven months of 2016 have increased the import of palm oil and its fractions by 11.8% compared to the same indicator for the year 2015 – to 477 tons.
In July, the import of palm oil rose by 8.3% compared with last year, to 67.4 thousand tonnes, Rosstat said on Tuesday.
A year ago, shipments of palm oil to the Russian market increased by 25.3% in seven months and by 94.8% in July.
Rosstat also reported that the import of coconut (koprovogo) oil and babassu oil in January-July this year increased by 1.3% to 48.3 thousand tons, in July – by 19.6%, to 9.5 thousand tons.
Import sunflower, cotton and saflower oil in January-July fell by 10.7% (to 1.9 million tons) in July – 27.1% (0.5 thousand tonnes).
