Russia conducted the first test of the United air defense system

– subsystem of control and coordination (including automated control system);
– a subsystem of the air cover;
– intelligence subsystem;
– subsystem support.

Checking coherence of the system was launched on August 25. In the course of its implementation conditional enemy had attack on the Caucasus, Crimea and Central Russia in real time. The test results were revealed small defects in work of the automated control system, low speed data exchange between the interacting units, called software. But all this did not affect the efficiency of the attack of the conditional opponent. In the near future will be to address shortcomings in software automation, as well as improvement of the integrated system.

A representative of the magazine “Arsenal of the Fatherland” on the scan results said that the armed forces of the Russian Federation has adopted the ASU for aviation, air defense radar troops, allowing you to carry out local missions. Integrated automated control system, which brings together many of the local systems, has been successfully tested and shown to connect all the ACS in a single combat system failed. To date, this was problematic due to the different data exchange formats at ASU and the lack of a single interface. Now, when the enemy attacks, not only involves those units, which are located on the perimeter of a direct attack, but also related.

All the data transmission units are processed in the control center that allows you to create real-time overall picture, which shows the speed of movement, location of individual items of detected opponents and their movements during the battle.

Access the obtained data, according to the office, have commanders of individual units, allowing them to see not only your, but also adjacent parcels and on the basis of the information received to take optimal decisions, allowing you to destroy that enemy, which is more available for destruction.

In addition, the system provides a receipt and guidance not at all available targets, only to certain area to protect against overload of unnecessary data. Each crew will get an indication of the specific object to eliminate the guidance on one target multiple units, will not need approval from the existing parallel counterparts.

The audit showed that the system works in real time and enables interaction not only air defense systems and other arms. We were amazed at all conventional targets, which represent aircraft, missiles and unmanned devices, making the conventional RAID simultaneously on an area of several thousand kilometers.

The defense Ministry explains that the system will be further applied constantly in all operations of aerospace forces in order to further the development of a new instrument of interaction.

Russian airspace is protected not only by anti-aircraft missiles, but with the help of aircraft. During the inspection, as noted by Igor Migunov (head of the press service of the Western military district), was involved in the MIG-29 and SU-34 bombers, who also handled the task of destroying the imaginary enemy in high altitudes.

The use of a new type of interaction provides cover not only a certain space, but full opposition to any kind of attacks on the territory of the Russian Federation, which can be very useful, with so many NATO bases around our borders.

In the future the system must expand and get out of the borders of the Russian Federation, to apply to CSTO countries. So, at the end of 2016, Belarus intends to connect to the system with the aim of creating a common air defense system.
