The United States and Russia remain the world’s largest exporters of major conventional weapons. This statement was made by representatives of the Stockholm international Institute of peace studies (SIPRI).
In accordance with the published rating, at the head of the five largest suppliers of weapons is the US, the main clients are Saudi Arabia, Turkey and United Arab Emirates. On the Middle East accounted for the bulk of the exports of America.
On the second place of the list of largest exporters engage Russia. The main recipients of weapons from Russia in the last five years were India, China, and Vietnam. In addition, Asia and Oceania, Moscow also managed to gain a foothold on the European arms market.
In the ranking of the largest exporters, according to SIPRI also included China, France and Germany.
