Airport Diyarbakir, the largest city in the Southeast of Turkey was late in the evening on Saturday, August 27, fired missiles, reports Reuters.
Four missiles were fired at a police checkpoint. Passengers and employees took refuge in the terminal building.
The rocket landed in a vacant lot nearby. Victims and destructions, the flight schedule was not disrupted. Diyarbakir airport mainly serves domestic flights.
The responsibility for what happened is the one not taken. It is known that in this region for three decades are clashes with Kurdish rebels and Turkish security forces.
Three days before the incident, Turkey launched a military operation in Northern Syria to counter terrorism and Kurdish separatism.
