To extreme measures the CBR was forced to go due to failure of the strict norms of the Federal legislation and normative documents of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. As the regulator is convinced, “Stella-Bank” ignored the interests of their clients.
Selected model “Stella-Bank” had a high level of riskiness at which the operations were performed without adequate reserves. The leadership attracted new customers, using aggressive marketing methods. Despite restrictions and a ban on attracting deposits by the Supervisory authority, the management of the Bank did not deviate from the chosen strategy and offered to the population rates, much above the average in the market of banking services. Now the credit organization takes the leadership appointed by the Central Bank of Russia a temporary administration.
Since all deposits “Stella-Bank” of the insured, the revocation of his license falls under the category insurance claims. Customers will receive within the deadline insurance in the amount of 100% of the total amount of funds in the accounts, but not above $ 1.4 million rubles for each depositor. As of 01.04.2016 G. the Bank was 467-m in the Russian banking system.
