Renault unveiled the production version of the Alaskan pickup truck

The company Renault has officially unveiled the production version of the global pickup Alaskan. At first the novelty will be available in the market of South America, and then get to African and European countries.

Pickup is made in the style of the eponymous prototype shown in September 2015. The model is based on the architecture of Nissan Navara new generation. On this same chassis will build the first ever truck of Mercedes-Benz, which should debut before the end of 2016.

Pickup, ground clearance which amounted to 230 millimeters, will be available with both double and single cabin. The pull of new items amounted to 3.5 tons.

Renault Alaskan is equipped with a 2.3-liter twin-turbo diesel, developing 160 or 190 horsepower. Pickup will be available with both rear and all-wheel drive. For an additional fee you can order a rear limited-slip differential with electronic control or mechanical sameblock.

Among the available options: multimedia system with seven-inch display, GPS, system of the circular review, dual-zone climate control and heated front seats.

First Renault Alaskan will be sold in Colombia, and soon in other South American countries. Subsequently, the model will reach Europe and Africa. Production of the pickup will establish enterprises in Argentina, Mexico and Spain.
