Putin: Moscow would be forced to think about stopping threats against Russia

Путин: Москва будет вынуждена подумать о купировании угрозы в отношении РФ

SOCHI, may 13 — RIA Novosti. President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow will think about stopping threats against Russia over deployment of missile defense in Eastern Europe.

“If, using their capabilities in the world media, they (the States — ed.) can enter someone into error about the fact that it does not threaten Russia, about the fact that this is exclusively a defensive system, it is here, at this table, at that meeting, no one astray will not enter,” said the President, speaking about the US missile defense system in Romania.

Putin stressed that the missile defense system in Eastern Europe is part of the strategic nuclear potential of the United States on the periphery.

“And the people who make decisions should know that they lived so far safely, comfortably and in safety. Now, after placing these items ABOUT, we will have to think about how to respond to threats against security of the Russian Federation”, — said Putin.

According to him, Moscow has many times warned about this, “but nobody wants to listen, no one on our requests for cooperation in this area properly, in earnest, on a professional level does not respond”.

“We will take all necessary on our part to provide and to maintain the strategic balance, which is the most reliable guarantor from the occurrence of large-scale military conflict”, — said the President.

Thursday in Romania was opened on the stationary part of the us Aegis Ashore complex, and on Friday in Poland will be held the groundbreaking ceremony of the construction of a similar complex missile defense system in redzikowo. The Kremlin and the Russian foreign Ministry said that the actions of the US and NATO allies pose a threat not only to national security but also could undermine strategic stability in the region.
