The government and the Bank of Russia as of 1 October need to develop proposals for improving the system of compulsory motor insurance. You need to use natural form of compensation in which a car repair will become more common compensation than cash payment. Relevant information is contained in the list of orders of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin approved the results of a straight line on 14 April.
With a proposal in the direct line was made by the President of the Association for the protection of the rights of policyholders Maxim Hanjin. He believes that in the regions need to create a network of services that focus on natural compensation. This will help fight fraud in the auto insurance, as well as create additional jobs.
“I think we should think about how you can build your idea into something that falls within the competence of the Central Bank, and how to transform in real life. We will think about it”, replied the President.
On 11 February it was reported that the Presidium of the Russian Union of motor insurers (RAMI) took the decision to replace all forms of insurance policies from 1 July. PCA President Igor Yurgens emphasized that such a replacement will be made as a measure of combating the spread of fake forms.
He also explained that the lump-sum replacement of OSAGO forms will be held for insurance companies, not to motorists: “All insurers will receive simultaneously the respective policies. How will they interact with their policyholders, whether they will encourage some of them to come voluntarily to change the form to a new or they will work with local traffic police authorities for verification of old policies, is in no way is the essence of the issue”.
