The law provides that Russia may renew the document, if the United States fulfills several conditions.
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on the suspension of the agreement between the U.S. and Russia on plutonium disposition, according to the official website of legal information of the Russian Federation.
“To suspend the agreement… in connection with a fundamental change of circumstances, the threats to strategic stability in a hostile U.S. actions against Russia”, – said in the text of the law.
The law provides that Russia may renew the document, if the United States fulfills several conditions.
In particular, reduce the military infrastructure and its contingent on the territory of countries – members of NATO that joined the Alliance after September 1, 2000 and will also repeal the “Magnitsky act”and all sanctions against Russian legal entities and individuals.
