Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko was not able to return the attention Ukraine: won the conflict in Syria, and the migration crisis in Europe.
This was stated by the head of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Alexei Pushkov. According to him, Europe is now more concerned with quite different problems.
“In Munich it was recognized: the main themes for the West today — Syria refugees. Poroshenko tried to return Ukraine in the spotlight, but to no avail”, — wrote Pushkov on his page in the social network.
During the international security conference in Munich agreement on establishment of ceasefire in Syria during the upcoming week. Also coordinated delivery of humanitarian assistance to war-torn areas. In parallel there will be continued efforts to solve the Syrian crisis through political means.
Operations against terrorist group “Islamic state” will continue.
