Bright BMW 2002 Hommage appeared in a new livery for Pebble Beach.
2002 BMW Hommage returned to light this week during the California contest of elegance in Pebble Beach as this year the company celebrates the 50th anniversary of their original 2002 model.
For the first time the concept was presented during Villa d’este in blue color, but California sports car appeared before the audience in the new orange livery of the “turbomeister”, painted a picture, which was widely used in the 70-ies on restored sports cars BMW.
In addition to the new exterior, the 2002 Hommage concept remains unchanged, so its characteristics are exactly the same as the classic version, which looks very much like the nose of a shark. The car is based on chassis model M2. However, BMW has not confirmed whether the saved 6-cylinder gasoline engine with an output of 365 horsepower and instead named purely a design concept 2002 Hommage.
