Psychologists have found a connection between character and sweet tooth

Психологи обнаружили связь между характером и любовью к сладкому Sweet lovers more compliant.

Psychologists believe that between taste preferences and personality traits there is a certain Association. For example, people who like sweets, have a more docile nature than lovers of spicy and salty.

We often use “taste” metaphor to describe a person (sweet, honey, etc.), and, apparently, not in vain. Psychologists have confirmed that sweet tooth more often are notable for their sweet, friendly nature, more inclined to care for others and to do people favors.

The study involved 55 students, who were asked to Express their attitudes to 50 different foods, divided into five categories, depending on tastes: sweet, sour, salty, bitter and spicy. In addition, participants filled out a questionnaire to assess features of their character. The result was that the love of sweets is associated with an increased level of complaisance, which means the ability to cooperate, empathize and be friendly.

In another experiment, with the other 55 volunteers participants were given either a chocolate or a salty cracker, and then asked for help. The students were treated to sweetness, showed more desire to help another person than participants from the other group.
Researchers interested in the results of their experiments, announced the intention to study more deeply the relationship between taste preferences and personality.
