Richard pound, the former WADA President, said he believes the true complete suspension of Russian athletes from participation in the Olympic games in Rio.

“Absolutely not feel any guilt. We had clear instructions to investigate that is athletics, and that is Russia. We did this and saw that the whole system here is corrupt,” said pound.
“We reported about it, where to apply, and gave our recommendations to WADA. Including: to take away accreditation from RUSADA and to disqualify all Russian athletes from participation in international competitions. And I think we did the right thing. It is wrong to think that doping be only in Russia. If you think that doping will only accept athletes, too, are mistaken”, — said the former head of WADA.
With Richard McLaren, pound was a member of the special Committee of WADA investigating doping in Russia and published the report, which part of the Olympic team of Russia did not go to Brazil.
