Civil guard and police in Spain have arrested 25 people from countries of the former Soviet Union. According to the newspaper El Mundo, the operation was carried out against the “Russian” and “Georgian mafia”.

So, in Tarragona was arrested eight people (six citizens of Russia, Ukrainian and Spanish, providing them with legal assistance) on suspicion of money laundering. As noted in law enforcement bodies, they created the company, gave loans to purchase the property. According to available data, they were linked to Colombian drug cartels, several criminal groups in Russia and some Russian politicians.

At the same time in Madrid, the police conducted an operation against Georgian mafia”. Police arrested 18 people on suspicion of committing dozens of burglaries in the capital of Spain, including burglars and fences.
