The Polish authorities consider salary increase visitors from other countries work.
Officials plan to equalize wages of hired workers from abroad and the poles.
In Poland plan from 1 January 2017 to equalize the wages of workers hired from abroad and poles, said Deputy Minister of family, labour and social policy of Poland Stanislav Swede, reports “Polish radio”.
“Work continues on the application of the so-called seasonal Directive on employment of foreigners, which should be used from 1 January 2017”, – said the Swede.
Seasonal Directive covers the case of the arrival and stay of third country nationals for the purpose of employment for seasonal work.
Deputy Minister of family, labour and social policy of Poland said that seasonal work is mostly interested citizens of Ukraine.
Last year we issued 800,000 applications to work in Poland. Worked half a million people. This year, by mid-may, received 500 thousand applications for employment of foreigners, so by the end of the year of expected orders for more than million.
Polish officials seek to continue to maintain the ability of foreigners to work in agriculture, in services and construction, but this mechanism was tight, and working conditions of newcomers were at the same level as that of local workers.
“We know that under the current application system, especially on the Ukrainian side, are different abuse, sale of such applications. From the Polish side we don’t know these persons do profit to work from Ukraine and actually work, or this design is sometimes used for obtaining a visa “, – said the Deputy Minister.
