The Minister also stressed that negotiations on the purchase of the helicopters was thwarted by the French party. “But we will find good for the Polish army decision, because the Polish army should be helicopters. Explaining the reasons for dissatisfaction with the conditions offered by Airbus Helicopters, Macierewicz pointed out the specifics of the offset transaction, which involves the purchase of imported products by issuing counter-claims by investing part of the funds of the contract amount in the economy of the importing country, which was a “condition of implementation of this contract”, as well as overpriced.
According to Makarevich, VS Poland need 50-70 helicopters. Some of them, as previously announced, will be purchased from local subsidiaries of Lockheed Martin, also in Poland, there are other companies, Warsaw is ready to purchases abroad, said the head of the Polish Ministry of defense.
