A team of scientists from Britain conducted a study and found out that regular exercising can save you from diseases arising from the abuse of alcohol. This was reported in the edition of the British Journal of Sports Medicine.

In the study, researchers analyzed data on the health of 35 thousand men and women older than 40 years. In particular, experts studied how often they do sports and drink alcohol.

It turned out that men and women who dedicate physical activity at least 150 minutes a week are less likely to suffer from diseases caused by abuse of alcohol.

“The results of our study show that an active lifestyle is important even in the presence of harmful habits like alcohol abuse” — explain the authors of the study.
