A prototype of the updated version of the BMW M2 was spotted by spies during the test on the track near Leipzig in Germany.
For anybody not a secret that the German company is working on a version of LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) for M2, the debut of which is expected in the second half of 2017, and this prototype can be easily distinguished from the current model.
First, it was installed new tail lights that have a slightly different internal design than the current model. In addition, in the center of the rear bumper you can see a small strip of masking.

This led to the assumption that the updated M2 can indeed get the same 3.0-liter S55 engine with twin turbo and six cylinders, which are embedded in models M3 / M4, replacing the current power unit M2.
