Kia shows the GT sports an updated style.
The upcoming Kia GT was spotted by the photographers, this time images show wide-open back door, which confirms that the five-door GT will indeed be an updated model.
In addition, a prototype disguised in the same way as the previous GT at the Hyundai Design Centre in Irvine, California, and Europe.
Highlights include full led headlights, typical Kia style grille with honeycomb mesh and rakish roof line. The prototype of the GT retains many of the design elements, but also introduces a production-ready elements, such as conventional side mirrors, new bumpers and wheels.
Judging by the cover hood test model, Kia will use some design features taken from GT4 Stinger Concept 2014. Under the hood will be mounted 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6, a 5.0 liter naturally aspirated GDI V8, or a smaller normally aspirated engine.
It is expected that GT will occupy a position between the Cadenza and K9, and reportedly will be built on the platform of G80 Genesis (formerly known as Hyundai Genesis), possibly with front-wheel drive.
