Fijian peacekeepers had received a shipment of Russian small arms and light weapons and ammunition. The defense Ministry has supplied weapons in response to the official appeal of the leadership of the Republic of Fiji, reports TASS.
Supplies are designed to equip Fijian infantry battalion, part of the UN Force monitoring the disengagement, stationed in the Golan heights.
In Suva is currently a group of Russian military instructors to teach Fijian colleagues the skills of handling new weapons.
