In honor of the 70th anniversary of the Sakhalin region this summer island and visiting filmmakers, as well as graduates and students of film Institute go on the train from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk to Nogliki with stops in Poronaysk, Tymovsky and races in Aleksandrovsk-Sakhalin, Okha and Uglegorsk. The project “cinema train” will last eleven days and will be held at the initiative of the Ministry of culture and archives of the Sakhalin region in the framework of the VI Sakhalin international festival “on the Edge”.
On Sakhalin the young filmmakers will make a documentary about life on the island
The organizers of the project were the Directorate of the Sakhalin international festival “on the Edge” together with the Youth center of the cinematographers Union of Russia, Studio “Island” passenger company “Sakhalin” with the support of the Sakhalin regional branch of the party “United Russia”. During the trip, half the crew will remove the almanac about the modern life of the island. The work will be presented at the festival “on the Edge” in September 2016 and are shown in the television broadcast. In addition, it is expected the participation of the film in the leading Russian and international film festivals. Also as part of a series of meetings in the municipalities of the island held special screenings of the documentary “Ring of peace” Sergey Miroshnichenko.
Ilya Shamazov, curator of education part of the program the year of Russian cinema in Sakhalin, says:If the island is really a fish, then the axis of the railway – its spine. Every small city will ask: “Why come?” Every resident cinema will give the answer: “to learn to love the world in which we live to look at yourself from the side.”
The tradition of Cinetrain was founded in 1931. Then a group of filmmaker Alexander Medvedkin during the year, toured the railroads of the Donbas and southern regions of the RSFSR. It was shot about four movies. The movie was mounted on the way from station to station.
In 2014, with the submission of the Chairman of the Union of cinematographers of Russia Nikita Mikhalkov, the tradition continued: in celebration of the 95th anniversary of the oldest national kinousa Cinetrain “RSIC-95” went from Moscow to Vladivostok through fourteen cities. Then in 23 days at different venues hosted concerts with participation of famous filmmakers, graduates, teachers and students of film, master-classes of famous actors and Directors, screenings of feature, documentary and animated films created by Vgikovtsy, including the thesis of the classics of Russian cinema, class concerts by students of the acting faculty, and discussion meetings of young filmmakers.
Artistic Director of the future film project, became a famous film Director, Professor of cinematography Sergey Miroshnichenko, who remarked: from the times 30 years kinopoezd is a significant phenomenon of culture, art and politics. Cinetrain can give impetus to the emergence of a new cinema school or the development of the whole region.
